Condor is perhaps the most famous Maxi yacht in history, having won many major ocean races in the world. Condor won races including the Sydney to Hobart, Fastnet, Bermuda race and the World Maxi Championship - just to name a few!   Condor still has the Race Spirit and as such does Hamilton Island Race Week each year.

In the 2010 Hamilton Island Race Week Regatta Condor won Cruising Division 1, ahead of 33 other yachts. 

Condor is operated by Prosail and is available for private charter to sail the Whitsunday Islands from a half day to 7 day charters (or as many as you would like to charter Condor for).

    A tour like no other, the memories Prosail's Condor will give you will last a life time!

The crew will get you involved as you hoist the sails and get Condor sailing the 74 Whitsunday Islands.
You will sail to the world famous Whitehaven Beach known for its pure white sand.

At the Northern End of Whitehaven Beach is Tongue Bay where you can go on a guided island walk
to the Hill Inlet lookout over Whitehaven beach on Whitsunday Island.

After a spot of lunch hoist the sails on Condor, enjoy a sail around the Whitsundays,  before its time

for some snorkeling, maybe Blue Pearl Bay near Hayman Island or Maureens Cove or Mantaray Bay
at Northern end of Hook Island. Snorkelling or Diving in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, is a must do.


Condor takes 29 Guests for two days and two nights of Maxi Sailing around the Whitsundays.

Condor Sailing History

      Condor was built in Pennryn, Cornwall England in 1981 by Ron Holland for Bob Bell.  Condor won the 
Sydney to Hobart Ocean Race in 1983 and again in 1986.
